Shahi paneer easy recipe

Ingredients

250 grams paneer cubes

1/2 cup fresh cream

1 tbsp ginger and garlic paste

1/4 tbsp red chilli powder

1/3 tbsp turmeric powder

Pinch of salt

1/2 tbsp honey

2 tbsp melted butter or ghee

3/4 cup water

1 to 2 inch cinnamon stick

2 to 3 cloves

For the paste

10 cashew nuts

2 big cardamom

4 chopped onions

2 chopped tomatoes

2 green chilli

How to make

step-1 Add one tablespoon ghee to a pan, heat it. Add cashews, green cardamom,lightly golden fry.

Step-2 Add chopped onions, green chili and fry until they turn transparent then add tomato and fry till mushy.

Transfer it to a plate and cool.

step-3 Blend this with very little water to a smooth paste.

step-4 Heat up the same pan with the rest of the ghee or oil, add dry spices, saute until they turn fragrant.

Step-5 Add ginger garlic paste and fry till the raw smell goes off.

Step-6 Add the onion cashew paste, chili powder, garam masala,turmeric and salt. Fry for about 3 to 4 minutes.

Step-7 Pour ½ to ¾ cup water. Cook till the gravy thickens. Add honey and stir till u see the oil begins to separate .

Step-8 Add paneer and cook for about 3 minutes. Add the fresh cream and stir

Step-9 Transfer shahi paneer to a serving bowl to prevent it from cooking further.

Step-10 Garnish shahi paneer with cream or coriander leaves.

Donuts recipe

Ingredients

5 cups all purpose flour

2 tbsp dry active yeast

1 cup lukewarm milk

1/4 cup warm water

1/2 cup white sugar

2 eggs

1 tbsp salt

1 quart vegetable oil for frying

1/3 cup melted butter

White chocolate and dark chocolate and some sprinkles for decoration

Directions

Step-1 Sprinkle the yeast over the warm water, and let stand for 5 minutes, or until foamy.

Step-2 In a large bowl, mix together the yeast mixture, milk, sugar, salt, eggs, and 2 cups of the flour. Mix for a few minutes at low speed, or stirring with a wooden spoon. Beat in remaining flour 1/2 cup at a time, until the dough no longer sticks to the bowl. Knead for about 5 minutes, or until smooth and elastic. Place the dough into a greased bowl, and cover. Set in a warm place to rise until double. Dough is ready if you touch it, and the indention remains.

Step-3 Turn the dough out onto a floured surface, and gently roll out to 1/2 inch thickness.

Step-4 Cut with a floured doughnut cutter. Let doughnuts sit out to rise again until double. Cover loosely with a cloth.

Step-5 Melt chocolates in a saucepan over medium heat with some butter . Stir in with vanilla untill smooth.

Remove from heat, and stir in hot water until the chocolate is somewhat thin,Set aside.

Step-6 Heat oil in a deep-fryer or large heavy skillet to 350 degrees F

Put the doughnuts into the hot oil using a wide spatula. Turn doughnuts over as they rise to the surface. Fry doughnuts on each side until golden brown.

Remove from hot oil, to drain on a wire rack.

Step-7 Dip doughnuts into the melted chocolates while still hot, and decorate with some sprinkles and seeds and set onto wire racks to drain off excess.

Keep a cookie sheet or tray under racks for easier clean up.

Ingredients

4 cups all-purpose flour

1 cup room temperature butter

1/2 cup milk

1 cup powered sugar

1/2 tbsp baking powder

Method

Step-1

First of all beat the butter with sugar well

To turn into a creamy texture

Step-2

Add flour and baking powder

Mix it well

Step-3

Add milk lightly mix and gather the entire mixture together,then add more milk if required to the dough ,do not knead more

Step-4

Rest the cookie dough for 30 or 1 hour in refrigerator

Step-5

Before cutting the cookies preheat the oven on 180 Celsius or 350 degrees

Step-6

Roll the dough with a rolling pin, this will takes quit an effort,

Roll the dough to a thickness of 0,50 or 0,75 cms

Step-7

With cookie cutters ,cut the dough and make your own cookie design , gather the remaining dough and roll again ,

You can also make small equal balls to design your cookies round shape,

Step-8

Then place the cookies in a baking tray with an inch gap between them ,

(remember to butter the tray before )

Bake cookies in the preheated oven for 15 to 20 min,

And place them on a wired tray or any rack,so that the cookies get cool down,

Eggless butter cookies are ready,

Afghan potato turnovers (bolani kachalo)

Ingredients

For the dough

4 cups all-purpose flour

1 cup water

1/2 tbsp salt

1 tbsp vegetable oil

For stuffing

3 medium potatoes (boild)

1 cup chopped scallions

1 cup chopped fresh coriander

1/2 tbsp salt

2 tbsp oil

1 tbsp ground black pepper

Methods

Step-1

Mix flour and salt together,add water and oil while mixing ,until it forms a soft dough

Knead the dough for 10 min

Step-2

Cover the dough with a clean cloth and let it rest for about one hour or half an hour

Step-3

Clean potatoes, place it in a boiling pot ,add a pinch of salt and let it boil over high heat ,about 20 minuets

Step-4

After boiling check the potatoes by poking them with a skewer,

The skewer should easily pierce through the center of potato ,when potatoes are done clean them and set aside for 10 to 15 min ,

Step-5

Peal and quarter potatoes ,mash them with salt ,pepper and oil,try to get it smith as much as possible

Step-6

Add scallions and coriander mash them well with potatoes

Step-7

Divide the dough,make small equal balls,

Spreed  some flour on your surface,roll the ball with a rolling pin,

The dough should be thin  as 10 to 15 diameter,as much as it’s thinner is better,

Step-8

Spreed a little filling on one half of the dough,

Leaving about 1/4 inch border around the rim,

Step-9

Fold the dough in half over the filling and press to seal it,

If needed press the bolani to remove any excess air inside the pocket,

Step-10

Heat the oil in a pan,

The oil should be hot enough that the bolani sizzles,brown the bolani until golden and crispy both sides ,it takes only a few mins

Step-11

Place cooked bolani on a paper towel,

Serve warm with plain yogurt ,chilli sauce or pickling.

Ingredients

6 cups all-purpose flour

1/2 cup vegetable oil

1 cup milk

1/2 tbsp fresh or dry yeast

1/2 tbsp salt

1 cup sugar

1/2 tbsp baking powder

2 eggs

1 cup warm water (as par needed )

Step-1

First combine the yeast with warm water and set aside,

Step-2

beat the eggs with sugar and oil,

Step-3

Shift the flour with salt and baking powder

Add milk slowly to make a soft dough

Step-4

Cover the dough to rest about 1 to 2 hours do not allow it to raise ,

Step-5

Make mini dough balls,

Then flatten it on a convex surface or sieve,then rolling it up loosely and seal it ,

Step-6

Heat oil and deep fry it until golden brown on medium flame

Now sprinkle some powdered sugar on khajoors then serve with tea or milk ,

Afghan Kabuli pulao recipe

Ingredients

1 1/2 kg Golden sella rice

1 kg Chicken or stewing lamb

1/2 cup oil

4 Onions thinly sliced

4 Garlic piece minced

Half tbs salt and black pepper

4 carrots (peeled and shredded )

Half cup red raisins (washed and drained)

Half tbs Cardamom powder

1 tbs Cumin seeds powder

Half tbs Gram masala

1 ltr Boil water

half cup almonds -peeled and  sliced

2 tbs sugar

Step-1

In a large bowl wash and drain the rice in 3 to 4 changes of water,then add more water to cover the rice and set aside to soak for about 1 or 2 hours,

Step-2

Heat half cup of oil in a large heavy,bottomed pot,add the meat or chicken to get a little brown,then add onions and sauté until cooked and softened,5 to 10 mins then add the garlic and other spices for another min,

Step-3

Add boil water and let it boil about half an hour in simmering flame ,

Until the meat is fork tender,

Step-4

Drain the sautéed rice and add it to the boiling stuff and stir it,

Return to a boil and cook the rice for about 5 to 10 mins until it gets drained,if needed more water then add boil water do not stir alot ,

Step-5

Heat half cup of remaining oil in a pan on medium flame ,add the carrots and sauté it for about 5 mins to soften,

Then stir in the sugar and continue to cook for 2 min then stir in the raisins for 2 mins taking care not to let it burn,

Remove from the heat carefully and add cardamom powder and set aside,

Step-6

Keep the sautéed carrots and raisins in a corner on top of the rice be sure that the rice gets drained properly,

Then cover the cap with a clean cloth and keep it on a low flame for about 5 to 10 mins,

Now take out the sautéed carrots and raisins side on a plate,

Take out the rice first on a dish then spread the carrots and raisins and almonds on top and serve,

Easy Chocolate cake roll recipe

Ingredients

1 1/2 cup All purpose flour

Half cup milk

100 gram butter

Half cup powdered sugar

4 eggs

1 tbs Vanilla serup

4 tbs coco powder

1/2 tbs backing powder

1 cup water

Milted chocolate,strawberry, and banana for decoration

Step-1

Heat oven to 350 •f.

Step-2

Melt butter on microwave on a microwaveable bowl for about 2 mins

Add sugar stir well until sugar melted with butter then beat eggs on another bowl with mixer on high speed for 3 mins or until thickened,

Add 1 cup of flour with backing powder and coco powder on the mixture beat until blended, add the remaining flour alternately with water ,

Beat it well after each additions,

Step-3

Spray oil a 15 into 10 into 1 inch pan with cooking spray,Then line with waxed paper again spray with additional cooking spray,

Spread evenly the mixture into prepared pan,

Step-4

Bake for 15 mins, sprinkle with powdered sugar and and immediately invert cake

Onto a clean towel, remove pan and carefully feel off paper,start roll up cake ans towel together,cool it completely,

Step-5

Unroll cake carefully,

Remove towel and then spread melted chocolate or whipped cream ,put strawberry and banana completely covering top of cake,roll up cake ,and place it in platter,

Spread more chocolate on cake and decorate it with strawberry and banana,refrigerator for 1 hour,

Serve and enjoy
